Darling cabin with glass walls . Very comfortable and well stocked. Path to the lake kind of steep but doable. Tod was a great host as well!
Being from the desert where temps are in the 115 to 120s. We loved staying in Newport so all of the negative adpect of the unit were overlooked because of the cool temps. The sofa was quite firm and not very comfortable
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was perfect! The location is great. We were secluded enough but also were close to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We were about an hours drive from Sacramento Intl Airport and North Lake Tahoe and about an hour and 45 min from South Lake Tahoe. If you’re laying in bed and looking out the window from the bedroom, you have a perfect vantage point to watch the sunrise! We preferred smuggling together on the deck in the fresh air looking at the lake while watching the sunrise though 🙂
The hike down to the lake is fairly easy but the hike back up the hill reminded me how out of shape I am loll
The access point to the lake from the house is not great for swimming but a perfect kayak launch! (kayaks are already down there)
My only complaint was the locks to the house. It took us a few days to figure them out (and probably would have figured this out sooner had we read the instructions that were in the detailed guide book inside the house)
Overall, an amazing and unique place!
Tod is communicative and his place is great! Right on the water and exactly as advertised. There’s a canoe but not super easy to get in and out of the water given the steep slope. But that was fine because we had a delightful swim instead. Thank you Tod!!!
Amazing, private retreat nestled in the trees with a private, well maintained trail to private lake access. What more could you want! Will be returning…
We enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Tod provides plenty of outdoor seating, a nice BBQ and a fireplace outdoors. The glass doors open the house up to fresh air (be sure to be gentle on the doors). There is a great kitchen, but the refrigerator doesn’t have a freezer. Bring an ice chest and stock up on ice (there is a small store close to the house). We weren’t able to enjoy the beach when we went, but Greenhorn Campground is 10 minutes away and has a day use area. Overall, we enjoyed the relaxing, quiet atmosphere. Highly recommend this little jewel.
Very quiet neighborhood, which we really appreciated. Having the dog park down the block was very convenient. Moolack Beach is gorgeous. Look for the Oregon Trail access point at the end of 57th. The cinema is walking distance, but there is no crosswalk on that part of the 101 so use caution.
Much needed stay, great communication, great location. Off grid, but close enough to nearby towns if needed
If you’re looking for a peaceful, lakeside getaway, this tiny home in theountains is for you. It’s completely private; no neighbors in sight. The lake view can be seen from inside the house and great when admired from the deck. This place is a gem of a retreat.
